Effective WebSites

What does it take to create a website that does what it is supposed to do - generate a flow of traffic that results in profits?

You have probably heard the phrase (KISS) - Keep It Simple Stupid! Or to put it in a nicer format we may see it written as: Keep It Stupidly Simple

The point is that keeping things simple is a great way to create a website. Visitors to your site will appreciate a simple and easy to follow format. But should your website constitute your entire marketing strategy - of course not!

Are there easy and inexpensive ways to promote a website - yes, you can easily create signature files that link to your site, you can use business cards and stationery that promote your site, any documents you create should include the URL - well, the list goes on and on, but promoting your site is not the only task you will need to attend to.

Let's get back to KISS - have ever heard, Keeping It Simple Sells? Believe me, simplicity can play an important role in how your website is perceived.

Consider the websites that you visit on the Internet. If you look closely and really explore the ins and outs of those sites you will most likely discover that you prefer the ones that are easier to navigate. Most people are online for fun and entertainment or for a real purpose. Either way, they do not want to have to deal with unnecessary frustration.

Your website should load quickly. How can you help to insure that it does? One way is to avoid large and flashy graphics. Your visitors are there for a reason and most will click away if they have to wait for the site to load.

For anyone new to Internet Marketing the whole idea behind creating and maintaining a website can be intimidating. In fact, any of the following activities can be difficult and very time-consuming:

• Checking email
• Writing content
• Checking stats online
• Managing websites
• Managing PPC campaigns
Building websites or web pages
• Handling customer service
• Logging into a website or member area
• Social networking
• Creating backup files or folders
• Other online business-related activities

If you do ANY of the above, then you need to CLICK HERE

You can save hours every day, get more done,
and make more money... while working LESS.

With the use of a fantastic cutting edge software you can automate an unlimited number of tasks, including tedious ones like handling email, writing content, checking stats, and building websites.

Functionality is much more important than fancy graphics and designs. Be sure to include useful information that is relevant and current.

Your domain name should relate directly to what your site is about. This helps to insure that you will receive organic traffic and your visitors will be able to easily associate your site with their needs - the key is they will be able to remember your site if they want to come back later.

Your site should be inviting in other ways as well. Your headline(s) should let your visitors know what the site is about and that it is focused on meeting their needs.

Use your website just as merchants use department stores. Consider each page of your site as a merchant does an aisle in his store. You can provide information and products related to a number of things as long as there is a way to connect them. How can you do that - with your personal branding and style.

While providing great information you can also add promotions for items that will expand on what you have provided. Treat your visitors as you would friends that come to your home. Make things comfortable for them and offer them what you can.

Don't forget to add a personal touch. Let your visitors get to know you as a person. You can even add information about your life, your personal IM journey and much more.
In reality you really can treat a website much like a blog by adding new information on a regular basis. This will build your pages and result in a higher PR. But perhaps even more importantly, it will allow your visitors to feel a real friendship with you.
